Terms and Conditions
Andy’s Airport Cars specialises in transfers to and from UK airports. We aim to provide an efficient, friendly and customer-focused service for all clients, whether they are regular travellers or making a once-a-year journey.
From the moment you contact us, we will do our best to ensure that your booking and transfer run as smoothly as possible.
We will provide a vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and the luggage requirements specified by you at the time of booking. Customers must make passenger numbers and luggage requirements clear when booking. If you are unsure whether your luggage will fit in the vehicle booked, please contact us in advance.
We can provide a Meet and Greet service where the driver will wait in arrivals with the passenger’s name or company name, whichever you prefer.
We provide up to one hour of free waiting time from the confirmed point of arrival for airport collections, which we consider reasonable. Waiting time above one hour may be charged at £15 per hour or part thereof.
Please Read Before Booking
Please ensure that you read these Terms and Conditions carefully before your journey. If you have any questions, please ask before confirming your booking.
By confirming a booking with Andy’s Airport Cars, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Travel Insurance
All passengers are advised to take out suitable travel insurance before travelling. Customers should ensure their insurance covers missed flights, delays, cancellations, airline charges, accommodation, onward travel, and any other travel-related losses.
Andy’s Airport Cars can provide reasonable evidence relating to a booking where this is needed for an insurance claim, airline claim, or third-party claim.
Missed Flights, Delays and Customer Responsibility
Andy’s Airport Cars provides airport transfer services and will use reasonable care and skill when carrying out all confirmed bookings.
Customers are responsible for choosing a collection time that allows sufficient time to reach the airport, check in, pass through security, drop baggage where required, and deal with possible delays. We recommend allowing enough time to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before long-haul flights and at least 2 hours before short-haul flights, unless your airline advises otherwise.
Andy’s Airport Cars is not responsible for missed flights, missed connections, airline charges, accommodation costs, holiday costs, loss of enjoyment, loss of earnings, or other losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, traffic delays, accidents, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, severe weather, police incidents, major events, airport disruption, incorrect booking information, insufficient travel time being allowed by the customer, or any other unforeseen circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where Andy’s Airport Cars fails to provide a confirmed booked journey due to an error directly within our reasonable control, we will review the circumstances fairly and reasonably. Where appropriate, we may offer one or more of the following remedies:
arranging alternative transport where reasonably possible;
refunding the fare paid for the affected journey; and/or
providing evidence reasonably required by the customer for an insurance or third-party claim.
We do not accept responsibility for indirect losses or wider losses connected to missed flights, holidays, hotels, onward travel, or other arrangements.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Emergency Procedure for Driver Delay or Non-Arrival
If your driver has not arrived within 10 minutes of the agreed collection time, or if you are unable to contact your driver, you must contact Andy’s Airport Cars immediately using the contact details provided on your booking confirmation.
If you cannot reach us and there is a risk that you may miss your flight or onward travel, you should take reasonable steps to reduce your loss. This may include arranging suitable alternative transport where reasonably available.
Where a customer arranges alternative transport because we could not be contacted or could not provide the booked journey, the customer must keep receipts and evidence of any additional costs and provide them to us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will review the circumstances fairly and reasonably. We will not normally be responsible for additional costs that are unreasonable, avoidable, unsupported by evidence, or incurred without first making reasonable efforts to contact us, except where the law says otherwise.
Passenger No-Show or Leaving the Collection Point
The customer must be at the agreed collection point at the agreed collection time, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with us.
If a driver attends the agreed collection point and the customer is not present, cannot be contacted, leaves the collection point, or chooses to travel with another taxi company without our agreement, Andy’s Airport Cars will not be responsible for any resulting costs, delays, missed flights, or losses.
In those circumstances, the full fare may still be payable.
Passenger and Luggage Requirements
Andy’s Airport Cars does not accept responsibility if the passenger or luggage requirements exceed the capacity of the vehicle booked.
Customers must provide accurate passenger numbers and luggage details at the time of booking. If a driver arrives and the luggage is excessive for the vehicle booked, it is the customer’s responsibility to resolve this before transport can continue.
If a larger vehicle is required, this should be requested at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply.
Return Airport Pick-Ups
When booking a return pick-up from a UK airport, please ensure that you provide the correct flight number, date, and scheduled arrival time into the UK. Please do not provide the departure time from the airport you are leaving from.
If you become aware of any changes to your flight times, please inform us or your allocated driver as soon as reasonably possible.
Drivers and Third-Party Providers
We will provide you with the contact number of the driver allocated to your journey.
We will try to provide the same driver for both outward and return journeys where possible, but we reserve the right to allocate a different driver when necessary. Where practical, we will provide the name and contact number of the replacement driver.
Andy’s Airport Cars uses its own transport wherever possible, but may use trusted third-party companies or licensed private hire operators where appropriate.
Payments
Payment can be made by cash, credit card, debit card, bank transfer, or online payment.
Card payments may be made to the driver where available.
Amendment Policy
If you wish to amend your booking, please contact us by email at bookings@andysairportcars.com.
Amendments should not be made directly with your driver unless we have advised you otherwise.
Any amendment is subject to availability and may affect the price of the booking.
Booking Policy
All bookings must be made via email, our website, telephone, or another approved booking method.
Confirmed journeys are insured. Private hire drivers cannot legally accept bookings directly from customers unless those bookings are made through a licensed operator.
We will send email confirmations to passengers where a valid email address has been provided. Customers are responsible for checking that the details in the confirmation are correct, including date, time, collection address, destination, flight number, passenger numbers, and luggage requirements.
If any details are incorrect, the customer must notify us as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made by email. You will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, we may not have received your cancellation. In that case, please call us on 08006891971.
Cancellations made with at least 48 hours’ notice will normally be accepted without charge.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a reasonable cancellation charge, depending on the circumstances and any costs already incurred.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to an administration charge of up to 50% of the outward journey fare.
If a driver attends the agreed collection point and the customer is not present, cannot be contacted, has left, or has been collected by another taxi company without our agreement, the full fare may remain payable.
Refunds
Refunds will not normally be made in the following circumstances:
the passenger does not show up for a pre-paid journey;
the booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice;
the passenger books the wrong date, wrong time, wrong flight number, wrong collection point, or provides other incorrect or misleading information;
the passenger leaves the pick-up point without informing us;
the passenger chooses to use alternative transport without our agreement after a driver has attended the agreed collection point;
the passenger has used the service.
Any refund request should be addressed directly to Andy’s Airport Cars using the contact details shown on your booking confirmation.
